María is an internal‑use artificial‑intelligence application operated by Raincoat LLC ("Raincoat," "we"). These Terms of Use ("Terms")—together with the integrated Privacy Policy—govern your ("you," "User") access to and use of María (the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you:

The Service is currently offered only to users located outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") and is not intended for, or offered to, individuals in the EEA. By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are not physically present in the EEA and that EU data‑protection laws (including the GDPR) do not otherwise apply to your use. If you are located in the EEA, you must not use the Service.
The Service assists in structuring and recommending parametric insurance solutions. It is alpha‑stage software intended for internal analysis and decision‑support only.
AI Output is informational and non‑binding. All insurance decisions must be validated by Licensed Professionals.
The Service is in alpha stage and provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." Raincoat disclaims any warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
AI Output does not constitute legal, actuarial, regulatory, or binding insurance advice. You remain solely responsible for final pricing, policy wording, regulatory filings, and compliance.
Users must consult Licensed Professionals or legal counsel before making any determinations or representations based on the AI's output.
Raincoat grants you a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the Service for internal testing purposes, subject to these Terms. You shall not:
Raincoat retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including any derivatives, enhancements, or feedback. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.
You own everything you upload to the Service ("User Data"). Raincoat LLC owns the Service itself, any AI Outputs it generates, and any fully anonymized or aggregated data we create from usage ("Service Data").
By using the Service you give Raincoat a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, analyze, modify, and otherwise use both your User Data and the Service Data so we can: (i) run, secure, improve, and troubleshoot the platform; (ii) audit and comply with legal or policy obligations; (iii) train and improve our models and algorithms; and (iv) build insights or benchmarks from de-identified data. We do not sell personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes how Raincoat collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Service.

If you access a web interface, we use strictly‑necessary cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies are opt‑in.
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Raincoat LLC disclaims all warranties, including merchantability and fitness for purpose. Raincoat LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. You agree to indemnify and hold Raincoat LLC harmless from any third-party claims arising from your use of the Service or Data misuse, including errors or omissions in risk assessments, payout logic, or policy recommendation.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Raincoat and its affiliates from any third‑party claims, damages, or costs arising out of:
These Terms are effective upon first use. Raincoat LLC may modify Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violation of Terms, misuse or at any time without notice.
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version and updating the "Effective" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the revisions, discontinue use.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration under AAA Commercial Rules in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Each party bears its own costs. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You agree that all suggestions, enhancement requests, or bug reports you provide may be used by Raincoat without obligation or compensation.
